Seamab

Care & Education

Seamab is a residential primary school offering a safe and nurturing environment for children with severe social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

To raise Seamab’s profile, and connect with donors and the local community, we created the brand, messaging framework and fundraising campaigns.

Meet the Sea Changers: Joy, Safe, Hope, Hug, Free, Brave and Calm – and the unwelcome visitors: Sad, Scared and Angry

The Sea Changers characterise how Seamab hopes to enable every child to reach their full potential – Seamab is where Hope lives, where Free lives, where Joy lives.

We worked with the children at Seamab to develop each of the Sea Changer illustrations. They made some brilliant improvements like giving Hug two pairs of extra-long arms and adding a wild hairdo to Free.

The emotive power of the branding gave the management team at Seamab a new-found confidence to actively fundraise. Three years on from a standing start, the development team hosted annual fundraising dinners building supporters and donations year on year. Seamab secured unprecedented levels of support since the launch of the Sea Changers brand and fundraising campaigns.

Awards: D&AD Awards – Writing for Brands, Scottish Fundraising Awards – Best Partner Relationship, Institute of Internal Communications – Most Innovative Communication
