Needs to Learn

Children have the right to a fulfilling education. Living with additional support needs however can make school a real struggle. 

Needs to Learn is a service where children and carers, who feel they have been let down by the education system, can be heard and supported.

We named the service, created a welcoming visual identity, and designed an accessible website after listening to 12-15 year old children’s views about how they could participate in decisions about their educational needs and rights. 

We created and integrated brand illustrations throughout the purpose-built sensory hearing rooms – to enable children with additional support needs to fully participate in the hearings process in a child-centred, safe and supportive environment.
